welcome to mj's picture gallery for the month of august.
the first picture was taken at conrad hotel's lunch buffet. the whole of tax dept went for that buffet. it's 'something' cuppuccino pudding. i couldn't remember what's the first word of that desert's name. actually, that's not the only thing that i wanted to take picture of. i was too busy eating all the food, and only got reminded of when i was waiting for the food to be digested in my stomach before eating this desert. i hopeless. yum yum... food~ *_*
the second picture was still taken at crystal jade. i suggested to them to order mango pudding because the picture looked so tasty. looks are deceiving. it tasted a bit weird after we pour the milk on top of it and it did not taste fresh at all. haha... but still edible, not too bad.
the third picture was still taken at crystal jade. gifts from elizabeth & jasmine; i was surprised and touched. i was really happy to finally get the chance to taste xiao long bao. it's yummy~

i went out with jasmine & elizabeth this wednesday. i had lots of fun! :D
we went to crystal jade xiao long bao to have lunch and took many pictures there. ho ho ho~!
of course being girls, we talked a lot! I think we spent more than 1 hour there when we only ordered a few dishes. i saw elizabeth's Guess bag. she told us about it during our APT. finally get the chance to see it. i really think it's so class and it's really nice!!! *_* (ding~! ding~!) had my eyes glowing when i saw it.

it seemed that many countries are having issues with japan. korea is still fighting for the rights over a small island that marked its territorial water with japan for almost half a century now. the rights of the 4 kuril islands between japan and russia is still unsettled for about 60 years.
also, the major issue of shrine visit. just not too long ago, a taiwanese boat went too near to japan water to demostrate their unhappiness with the prime minister's shrine visit, which aggrevate the japanese coast guard.
all these frictions with japan's neighbouring countries; japan's foreign minister must be really stressed out.
i really hope war doesn't break out like it did in the middle east. it seemed that these countries were really tolerant with one another. in fact it seemed that the tolerance was strained and almost over-stretched.

I'm really happy and excited that i managed to sign up for the course. I feel it's a step closer to my desire.
Though i know as the future begins to unfold itself, many times i may get frustrated with things that don't turn out right. But i believe that there will also be many great happiness in store awaiting me, so i will wait patiently. ^=^

This from my colleague - Maggie. I think she's really nice and she even treat me to lunch. Today, when i asked audrey how to calculate the principle and interest. No matter how hard i try, i couldn't trace how maggie (it's her case) got the numbers. So audrey explained that i need to get all these from client and she asked me who gave me that case. When i told her it's maggie's, she was like "huh~", like i'm being exploited. =.= i really don't mind helping maggie. Besides, without her work load for me, i would be slacking all day long from time to time. Right after i walked back to my seat, she turned around and talked to eilyn & chuan yew about maggie giving me work to do. chuan yew said, "it's been going on for quite some time now. didn't you know?"
It's not hard to guess what they were talking about, since it all made sense to me. So audrey asked me if i still charge client since i'm a temp staff now. I said i can only charge to office work. Then the other 2 started saying stuff like, "what!? i think i need her to help me raise query!" look who's exploiting me. =.=
I really believe maggie's nice to me from the bottom of her heart, and i know i'm right. I think those people from my group are weird.

i believe many have already heard of the news that president bush forgot to switch off his mic after the Group of Eight meeting, and we all know what president bush had spoken to prime minister tony blair.
if you guys had watched the channel 8 news @ 10pm on tuesday, you would have seen mr. blair actually stretched out his hand to turn off the mic after he realised that president bush had left it on.
i really feel that tony blair is a really nice friend. i think lots will raise their eyebrows at this statement i've made because it would seem unrelated and perhaps even shallow.
i mean, he could have just switched it off and laughed at president bush for his carelessness because he (president bush) had said something that not all should have heard. however, tony blair did not do this and he continued to listen to president bush talking. tony blair could have also asked president bush to switch off the mic on his own because the switch was nearer to president bush.
so in conclusion, i feel that tony blair is a person who would help and protect his friends. i just think it's rare to see this kind of friendship between world leaders.

sigh... i just broke the mop when mom asked me to do some housework for her. it was an accident; i was trying to dry the mop so i had turn it and it just broke.
actually, i've been spoiling lots of things lately. i spoiled my laptop, i jammed the printer and the paper shredder at my work place, i broke the key for my locker at my work place and now i broke the mop.
now is only may and i'm already listing the items that i spoiled ACCIDENTALLY, as if i'm doing a year end summary of what i have achieved.
because of my new found strength in year 2006, i've set a new criteria for my future husband; he must be stronger than me. really, otherwise he would suffer. who knows, i may accidentally sprained his wrist. it's NOT a threat, i'm just concerned. eh hem~... =.=

everyone has moved on; i should do the same too.
i will not just imagine what kind of life i want to have, and what kind of emotions i will carry everyday. i'm going to live life.
there are people who will be there forever, but mostly are just passers-by. no matter, i just want a pleasant experience and no toe-stepping competition.
but i'm truly grateful that i met people who shared the same frequency as me, because that double the amount of joy i get from just doing what i really like. i enjoy talking to people whom i can really talk to; conversations will never ceased from things that we like to things that we feel strongly about.
living in this world, it's all about building relationships with people. like i said before, it's the people that makes the place because of the atmosphere and the environment they create.
